Miniature Cheviot Sheep

We are building a small heritage herd of rare Miniature Cheviot Sheep, sometimes called Brecknock Hill Cheviots.  We have decided on this wonderful small breed because it is easy to handle, lambs without problems and has a nice medium wool.  We have purchased some new tiny rams to improve our stock and incorperate the original Brecknock genes from a Washington State herd.  We are very excited to be able to obtain these fine young rams.

We are the only herd in Alabama with this Heritage Breed.  Some lambs will be offered for sale in the spring of 2010 on a limited bases.

**CHEVIOT WOOL ROVING!!  SOLD OUT UNTIL SPRING 10!

I have been spinning this lovely wool and have made a couple of winter hats with it.  I have also dyed the wool with Koolaid and spun it up into a colorful yarn used in the winter hats.  This wool spins easily and I kept the best fleece to be made into roving.
